About Your Family Midwife

Hi, I’m Tamara – a nurse and midwife of 16 years, a mum of two girls, and someone who understands the highs and lows of the pregnancy, birthing and postnatal journey, both professionally and personally. As an endorsed midwife, I believe in empowering women through informed, compassionate care. My approach blends clinical expertise with genuine connection, ensuring you feel safe, heard, and supported from pregnancy through to early parenting.

I spent over a decade working in a busy city hospital, supporting families through birth and the early weeks of parenthood. I’ve also had the privilege of providing home births, offering women and families the option of a more personal and intimate birthing experience.

My own journey into motherhood brought unexpected challenges. One of my daughters came home with a feeding tube and on home oxygen, and like many new mums, I faced my own struggles with feeding. That experience gave me a deep, personal understanding of how overwhelming and unpredictable the postnatal period can be.

Today, I’m here to help and support you. Whether you're navigating pregnancy and birth preparation, feeding challenges, settling your baby, or simply figuring out your rhythm as a new parent, I offer compassionate, practical support grounded in both professional expertise and real-life experience. Mother-crafting is at the heart of what I do – and you don’t have to do it alone.
